Chicago Art Magazine's "40 Artists Over 40 Years" series launches toda

"Older Than Jesus"

Today, Chicago Art Magazine launches the “40 Over 40” series which will spotlight forty great local artists born before February 11, 1971.  (See the press release where we take a pot shot at the New Museum's Younger Than Jesus Exhibit). The series will consist of eight articles which will be posted, beginning today and continuing through 2/28/11.

Today we published “40 Over 40: Artist Run Spaces” and next week is installation and performance, the representationa painters, etc.

We’ll let our other articles speak for themselves below. ALSO NOTE:  we’re doing a 50% off sale if you buy an ad via email in February. So the slideshow/sponsored posts packages which dominate the site are suddenly just $300. First come first serve, we have 4 spots left. We got so busy with new advertisers for our theatre and film sites, that we overlooked our flagship magazine.
